HYMN SING
Sunday, June 20, 2009
3:00 p.m.
Millpoint Park Band Shell
Conclude your 2010 Spring Lake Heritage Festival experience by spending quality time with your Father while all of you are worshiping and growing closer to our Him this Father’s Day at our 5th Annual Spring Lake Heritage Festival Hymn Sing.
This Spirit-led Hymn Sing will take place at 3 p.m. on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20th, at the band shell in Mill Point Park, located at the East end of Exchange Street at School Street in the Village of Spring Lake. The Hymn Sing will include the performances of soloists, duets, groups, and choirs from different churches in the Spring Lake Township area.
Those attending will also be singing some of their favorite Hymns and Praise Songs.
The idea of our community gathering together to praise God in group singing has been a significant and important part of the festival since its beginning in the early days in the late 1980s.
If you would also like to share your musical talent on stage with the Spring Lake area community during the Hymn Sing you may contact Chairman Daniel Grable through this web site.
This year each of us will be asked to show our compassion by bringing "housekeeping supply items such as toilet paper, cleaning sprays, laundry detergent, or dishwashing liquid" to help out the many needy families and the food pantries in our area.
Make this an annual family tradition by spending some quality time with your earthly Father on this Father’s Day. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy prior to the Hymn Sing, and stay to hear the great musical praising of God, our Heavenly Father, on this sprit led Father’s Day afternoon.
