SENIOR ACTIVITIES DAY

Senior Activities Day will be celebrating its fourth year as one of the SLHF events on Thursday, June 16th, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. One day of the festival is dedicated to the senior citizens in the Spring Lake area. Anyone over the age of 55 years is invited to participate in the activities of the day. The day begins at the Grand Haven Waterfront Holiday Inn in Spring Lake. Coffee and donuts and a “Senior Meet and Greet” start off the day, with donations accepted. Sharing information and conversation during the meet and greet gives  the seniors a chance to visit with  their neighbors and friends. 

Following this, Bingo is played with wonderful donated prizes

Lunch is available for a small fee ($5.00 per person) at the Holiday Inn.

Then it is on to the Senior Ice Cream Social at the Little Red House Adult Assistive Care Services 311 E. Exchange Street in Spring Lake. The Senior Social will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Spring Lake High School senior students volunteer to assist the senior citizens during the activities. We call that “seniors helping seniors”!  The senior citizens enjoy meeting and talking with the senior high school students and vice versa.

All senior citizens in the Spring Lake are invited to attend.  The day begins with coffee and donuts at 9:30 a.m. at the Grand Haven Waterfront Holiday Inn in Spring Lake. Bingo starts at 10:00 a.m. and lunch will be provided for $5.00 at noon. All senior citizens are invited to the Little Red House at 311 E. Exchange for an ice cream social at 1:00 p.m.
